AT LONG LAST, THE FINAL Chapter of our Audio Book is up! We had the wonderful opportunity to work with awesome voice talent, and we wanted to take a moment to thank Piper Petrie for being our Narrator! This was a difficult position to fill. First, J.J. was going to narrate, but decided he hated the sound of his own voice. Then his little sister, Beakerbones, was going to give it a try, but because of scheduling conflicts she needed to decline.
WE DECIDED TO POST an audition on the Voice Acting Club, looking for a voice actor to fill the position of Father, Mother, and a new Narrator. Along with John and Karen’s auditions, we also received an audition from a voice actress named Elizabeth Freeman. We were initially going to work with Elizabeth as our Narrator. However, during the recording process, due to some issues and scheduling conflicts she had to step down as Narrator as well.
IT WAS AT THIS POINT that we were going to scrap the idea for an Audio Book altogether. It just kept falling through. But J.J. began looking on the interwebs for some promising voice actors/actresses. He planned to post again on VAC, but ended up looking into Newgrounds. There’s a lot of promising VAs on NG, and we happened to come across the profile of an amazing Voice Actress by the name of Piper Petrie. J.J. contacted her, and she agreed to work with us!
WE ARE, AND ALWAYS WILL BE, grateful to Piper for agreeing to narrate The Adventures of Rel Rel: Lost Mirror. We understand that it was a pretty large undertaking, and it was something we couldn’t have done without her. It means a lot to us. She brought the tale to life, tied the rest of the voices together, and completed the overall story with her wonderful reading. She fit well into the world that we created, and we couldn’t be happier with her performance!
WE REALLY ENJOYED working with Piper and hope to work with her again in the future!
We update every so often! When there’s something relevant to update :]
